New MacBook Air 2014 Release Date: Powerful Than its Earlier Versions
Apple is said to be working on a slimmer MacBook Air that has a Retina display just like its MacBook Pro counterpart.
There is nothing but rumors as to when the improved MacBook Air would be released, but reports suggest that it would be within the year -- probably in December.
People are awaiting the inclusion of Intel's Broadwell processor, plus the retina display that would make the Air more powerful than its earlier versions. It is also said that it would be an inch bigger at 12 inches, or that it may replace the 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display.
Other reports suggest that the Macbook Air will feature Intel's Core M, a wonder chip that would let Apple create a slimmer product. Core M is supposedly more efficient and powerful than previous Intel products, and will not require a fan for cooling, further proving that it is possible for the Macbook Air to be thinner than it currently is now. An advantage to a fan-less design would be that it is possible for the MacBook to have a higher battery capacity, since a bigger battery could be installed. However, the report states that the launch would be in mid-2015, and it seems plausible if we base it on the time that will be used to add the features to the newest addition to the Apple family. There are also rumors regarding the color of the MacBook Air, with some saying that the company is considering Space Grey and Gold options to the new model, to add to the aluminum version that has already been established. Either way, nothing has been confirmed yet, so we will all have to wait until the details are established by Apple. The company has also released upgraded versions of both the Air and Pro this year with lowered prices, so expect that the newest addition to the MacBook Air product line would be better.
