Minecraft Xbox One PS4 Release Date, Reports, Rumors, Skins, Texture Packs And Testing: PS4 Edition Of Minecraft Fails Final Testing With Possible Effect To Xbox One And PS Vita
We have the latest for you on the release date, reports, rumors, skins, texture packs and testing of Minecraft. On Wednesday, 4J Studios revealed some bad news to their fans. The bad news is also likely to affect the Xbox One version of the game. For those hoping that the open-world sandbox game would be out by the end of August, they will have to move their expectations to September.
Last week on Tuesday, 4J submitted PS4 to Sony for the final testing. However, this Wednesday, they posted a tweet saying, "Sony found some issues we have to fix in the final test of #minecraftPS4 :( we're fixing, but we need to go through the process again." This without doubt pushes the release of Minecraft PS4 to September. 4J will need time to fix whatever the issue that caused the game to fail in certification and then resubmit it again. This could be a possible two-week process which definitely makes the possibility of an August release quite unlikely. The Xbox One and PS Vita versions of Minecraft might also not make the August release date.
The failure in the certification of Minecraft PS4 puts additional work on 4J as they not only have to fix the issue, but also make sure that it is not present in the other two versions. This could only mean that the owners of Xbox One or PS Vita should not expect the game any time earlier than next month when all the issues have been fixed. The Minecraft PS4 edition and Minecraft Xbox One edition will support worlds which are 36 times larger than the PS3 and Xbox 360 editions. They will also allow the players to transfer worlds to the new edition. There is also increased multiplayer size and also the ability to increase world sizes.
The existing skin packs and texture packs will carry over to Minecraft PS4 Edition, Minecraft PS Vita and Xbox One edition. There is an exception of the Marvel skin packs due to the licensing rights. The updates for Minecraft will continue once the PS4 edition, Xbox One edition and the PS Vita editions are released. You can count on us to give you any more updates concerning the fixing of the issues with the Minecraft game editions.
