Matt Redman Releases a New Song with Joe L Barnes

Today, internationally renowned worship leader and songwriter Matt Redman releases an anthem titled "Praise To The Most High," featuring Joe L Barnes. Highlighting Redman's artistic range, this song brings joy and reverence throughout with an uplifting tempo. Listen to "Praise To The Most High" now.
"I love that this song has a sense of exuberance, celebration, and joy - but also a strong sense of reverence running through it," shares Matt Redman. "It reminds me of Psalm 95, which talks about singing for joy to the Lord, but in the very next verse talks about bowing down in worshipful reverence to Him. I love when we find those two things - joy and reverence - flowing alongside each other in our worship. It happens a lot in the Bible - in one place it says the people 'shouted for joy and fell facedown'. Another time it talks about 'rejoicing with trembling' - so there's this sense of awe and joy flowing alongside each other."
This new track will be included in Redman's upcoming album, Life & Breath, which will be released on October 3rd through Integrity Music. In his impressive career spanning 20 albums, this will be Redman's first 'live-studio' album, capturing the essence of live worship in an intimate studio setting. Today's song was co-written by Redman, Leonard Ray Jarman, and Joe L Barnes. "I loved that Joe L Barnes could join us in Nashville for the live studio recording of this song," said Redman.
"I love seeing him use the special gift he's been entrusted with by God - so it was extraordinary to co-write and co-lead this with him."
Last month, Redman released the first single from the new album, "Let Me See Jesus / Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus," featuring worship leader Charity Gayle (known for "I Speak Jesus"). Life & Breath represents a return to the sacred essence of worship, emphasizing the importance of honoring God with every breath we take. The album blends honor with joyfulness, merging deep theological concepts with accessibility.
Throughout his career, Redman has established himself as a respected voice in the worship genre and the church. In recent years, he has focused on sharing his insights and experiences from around the world, promoting healthy worship and theology through his songs and services. He discusses these topics in depth on the WOR/TH Podcast and at WOR/TH events-one-day worship and theology seminars. This fall, three WOR/TH events will take place in Nashville, Toronto, ON, and Langley, BC. For more information and dates, visit https://www.worthworship.com/.
