Sound Street Offers Intimate, Faith-Filled Rendition of “Goodness of God”

In a display of creative versatility, Sonlite Records' Sound Street are following up the pronounced Dixieland feel of their previous single, "I Want to Know More About My Lord," with a powerful reworking of the 2020 Dove Award-winning worship song, "Goodness of God."
"For the past four years, Sound Street has led audiences in worship with this song, one of the most beloved anthems in modern Christian music," the group reveals. "From concert stages to worship gatherings, this song has become a cornerstone of our ministry, resonating with hearts across every age and background. When we went into the studio with our producer, Roger Talley, we wanted to preserve this intimate, stripped-down arrangement that allows listeners to easily engage in worship - wherever they are."
"Roger has an amazing ability to take a song and help it find a home with the artist," they add. "He truly married this arrangement to who we are."
With Talley at the helm - and at the keyboard for the piano that sets the tone for the expansive interpretation - Sound Street's reading uses restraint to keep its focus squarely on the song's simple yet profound statement of faith offered by Jaylie Vanderslice. As the youthful singer relates in their performances, "I may not have lived as long or gone through as much as many of you, but I can still say without hesitation - God has been so faithful to me, and He's been faithful to you, too."
Filled with subtle musical touches - like master studio musician David Johnson's contributions on cello - that illuminate the lyrics' expressions of deep belief, Sound Street's take on "Goodness of God" is sure to both delight and inspire listeners.
