Band Reeves Chronicles Their Christ-Encountering Journey

Fusing complementary country and Christian musical genres rooted in life on the farm and the faith that sustains them, Palestine, TX-based Band Reeves brothers Jeramy and Cody release their Centricity Music debut single, "Outrun You." Available now at streaming and digital outletseverywhere via https://bandreeves.lnk.to/OutrunYou, the song was birthed after Jeramy'stransformational encounter with Christ.
The Reeves brothers have taken their hybrid brand of acoustic-grounded storytelling and spiritually-fueled country music to concert venues nationally before being discovered and signed to their first label deal with Centricity Music. A little bit Shane & Shane, a little bit Florida Georgia Line, Band Reeves is forging their own unique path on a patch of back forty dirt where blue-collar living, big family dinners and bonfire worship all converge.
Q: Thank you for doing this interview with us. Tell us how and when you and your brother decided to form Band Reeves.
Cody: We've led worship & sang together since our early teens & in about 2018 we started writing our own songs & traveling. That's when we decided we needed a name!
Q: Have the two of you always wanted to make Christian music? If so, why?
Jeramy: I've always loved music & when I was about 12 years old, I went to a church camp & it was my first time being led by a contemporary worship band. That's when I knew I really wanted to be a part of something like that!
Q: How then did you get to work with Centricity Music?
Cody: We had been making some trips to record in Nashville & our producer at the time thought it was a good time for us to do a showcase. Centricity was one of the labels represented at the showcase & they reached out to us afterwards. We started building a relationship with them after that!
Q: I know there's a story behind your new song "Outrun You." Can you briefly tell us the story behind the song?
Jeramy: "Outrun You" is a summed-up testimony of us both coming to know the Lord!
Jesus loves us so much & continues to pursue us no matter what decisions we make or how far we run!
Q: Who (in terms of songwriters and artists) are you currently working with for your new music?
Jeramy: It's been an honor to work with such amazing people! To mention a few that we have worked with recently, Jeff Pardo, Nick Schwarz, Brad Remple, John Strandell, Harrison Hackett, Paul Duncan & several others!
Q: Are you guys on the road? What can fans expect when they see you live?
Cody: We are staying on the road quite a bit! We are storytellers at heart & want people to laugh, have fun, be encouraged & most of all walk away with an encounter with God!
