Phil Wickham Gets Festive with Christmas Tour & Album
Renowned songwriter/worship leader Phil Wickham announces his 2024 SoCal Christmas Tour. He also shares that TAYA will be the tour's guest artist.
Earlier this summer, Wickham revealed on social media that he is working on a new Christmas album that is slated to arrive in 2024! The 14 track LP features new arrangements of holiday classics in addition to new original music. The album will feature guest vocals from Anne Wilson, CHPTRS and Evan Wickham. The first single is tentatively scheduled to arrive in September.
The first single from the album, "Angels (Glory to God)," releases this Friday, 9/6. You can pre-save here: https://fts.lnk.to/Angels
TOUR DATES:
12.3 | Fontana, CA
12.5 | San Diego, CA
12.6 | San Diego, CA
12.7 | Westlake Village, CA
12.8 | Westlake Village, CA
Wickham writes, "What's wild about Christmas albums is that I'm usually recording them in the dead of summer. Singing songs like `Oh Come All Ye Faithful' with sandals and a tank top on. Yes, it's a bit jarring, but I actually really love it. I'm reminded that the story of God sending His Son to rescue us should not be saved for sermons and conversations 1 month a year.
"Singing these songs outside of the context of the holidays brings a clarity and a weight that is melting my heart. God never gave up on us. He went on a rescue mission to save what we lost. To correct what we messed up, to make weight all the wrong we made. Thank you God for your crazy relentless love!! Can't wait to share this music with you."
