The Blacklist Season 2 Premiere Date: Reveals and Plot Possibilities as Mary-Louise Parker and Krysten Ritter are Added to the Cast
The blacklist featuring Raymond Reddington played by James Spader, who was once a government agent that went rogue decade ago and wound up on the FBI's most wanted list turned himself in with a list of criminals the government would want taken care of as well as the connections to get them, while furthering his own ends at the same time. He also gave a condition to work directly with rookie agent Elizabeth Keen played by Megan Boone. The second season would reveal a few mysteries that were still left untold in the first season for example, when Elizabeth supposedly shot and killed her husband Tom, he whispered to her in his last moments that her father was actually alive, when Reddington her old her that he was dead.
We had originally assumed that Reddington was her father but the storyline seems to be diverting away from that aspect. The other thing is Tom, because we presumed he was dead but the way that the scene portrayed no body in the end, suggests he must have crawled away. He might still be a threat being a very capable operative against Reddington. There are new additions for the cast this time round for the second season and they are Mary-Louise Parker, former lead role in Weeds. She is poised to play a strong beautiful woman named Naomi Hyland who is supposed to have connections to Reddington in a former life, as does everyone it seems in the series in one way or another.
She will be joined in the cast by newcomer, Krysten Ritter who will play the role of a disturbed data analyst working in a data security company. There are no other spoilers as to the plot so far as producer Jon Bokenkamp wants to keep things as close to his chest about the plot as possible. The release date for season 2 is slated for September 2 on NBC 10pm.
