Brooke Ligertwood Releases Devotional Video for "Calvary's Enough"
Platinum recording artist & GRAMMY®-award winning songwriter, producer and worship leader Brooke Ligertwood has released a devotional video for her new song "Calvary's Enough." "Calvary's Enough" is the third single from her highly anticipated sophomore solo album "EIGHT."
As for the devotional video, Ligertwood writes, "The devotional for my brand new song "Calvary's Enough" is a bit different to the others. It is particularly tender, and one I pray ministers to you as the prayer within it has ministered to me. In this video, I share excerpts of a modern liturgy that has come to mean a lot to me over the past 18 months or so. It is a read prayer, and the subtitles will be along the bottom for you to be able to pray out loud along with me.
"This prayer is by Douglas Kaine McKelvery and called "Liturgy for Those Flooded By Too Much Information" from his gorgeous book Every Moment Holy, Volume I, used courtesy of the publishers Rabbit Room Press (who have been so kind to us). I can unhesitatingly recommend this book to you - it's full of prayers that help frame the moments of life with grace and gratitude in the light of Christ Jesus. Read more at EveryMomentHoly.com."
A moving piano-driven worship ballad, "Calvary's Enough" details how Jesus resolved to absorb all our confusion, pain and suffering at Calvary, and when our eyes are lifted from our circumstance to the triumph of the cross, He becomes our firm foundation as the soaring chorus proclaims, "Calvary's enough/Calvary's enough/When I know nothing/When I know too much/What I choose to know right now is/Calvary's enough.
"Life is unfathomably brutal, but God's mercy is unfathomably real," says Ligertwood. "'Calvary's Enough' exists at the intersection of those two co-existing realities."
"Calvary's Enough" releases on the heels of "Desert Song" and "Fear of God" from the forthcoming "EIGHT" album which is a follow up to Ligertwood's debut solo offering "SEVEN (Live)" that has garnered over 146 million global streams since its 2022 release.
With 7 billion career streams and 20 million career album sales, Ligertwood has penned a growing anthology of beloved church anthems like "What A Beautiful Name," "King of Kings," and "Hosanna," and devotional favorites like "Awake My Soul," "New Wine," "None But Jesus," and many more. Her songs have been translated into over 15 languages, and have topped the CCLI chart with two no. 1's, and several Top 25's.
