Hillsong UNITED's Joel Houston Turns 43

Hillsong UNITED's lead, songwriter and worship leader Joel Houston will be celebrating his 43rd birthday tomorrow. Birthday wishes are already flooding in, most notably from his parents, Brian and Bobbie Houston (founding pastors of Hillsong Church).
Bobbie Houston wishes, "HAPPY BIRTHDAY SON!! We share this day! I became a mother for the first time, and you entered this world.
"Dad and I love you. We are proud of the man you are. And yes, I could pontificate and sing your praises (excuse the pun) for others to read, but allow me to honor you and say "your songs (written from the deepest of places) and your gravelly voice is where I so often hear His Voice". So Thankyou darling.
"... & let's face it ... what mum (or mom) doesn't find it endlessly amusing that her giant adult bearded boys lined up forever for this ride!! Love you heart, soul and strength."
Similarly, Brian Houston writes, "Big happy birthday to the one and only Joel Timothy Houston. I'm so proud of you - who you are and all you do. I love you!"
Fans are also sending in their blessings:
"Happy Birthday Joel. May the Lord bless you and keep and make His face to shine upon you and be gracious to you and give you peace."
"Happy birthday! Keep walking with Jesus, You've blessed and can blessed many others around the Word.God gives you more time to go: go to the places there is no churches, no bielievers..."
"Happy Birthday! I have certainly been blessed by your music and deep concern for the Church to be the hands and feet of Jesus. Many blessings to you and your family!"
Joel Houston made his debut with Hillsong United as a vocalist was in 2002, however he had been playing bass guitar with the band for several years prior to this, and contributing various songs, including the title track from the group's debut full-length live album, Everyday. As part of Hillsong United music team, Joel Houston has helped lead worship conferences in North America, South America, Africa, Europe and Asia.
