Transformers 5 release date is still up in the air: Producer Bonaventura refutes 2016 premiere
Transformers 5 release date is still up in the air: Producer Bonaventura refutes 2016 premiere
Getting a film to the fourth installment and still getting a big success at the box office is quite impressive. Now there is talk about a fifth movie. The producers are currently planning for a follow up especially because the fourth movie was part of a trilogy that involves Mark Wahlberg as part of the plot. However, when producer Bonaventura was contact by Digital Times about information on the fifth movie, he stated clearly that 2016 seems a bit too soon for the release date. This is despite the fact that Transformers 5 was allegedly spotted on part of the upcoming movie lists for 2016.
He did say that the discussions were not too far away but that it was still early to begin seriously talking about the project or even providing a premiere date; thus suggesting that Paramount Pictures are still basking in the glory of Transformers 4. At the same time, there are issues of schedule between Director Michael Bay and Paramount Pictures because he is scheduled to do Pain & Gain, the sequel probably, before he does the next installment of Transformers. Michael Bay has been a vital component of the transformer franchise from the start in 2007 making it one of the best success stories from Paramount Pictures and within the science fiction genre.
Transformers 4: Age of Extinction was a great hit but there are some reviews that it did not construct the plot effectively and the technical and graphic aspects were too intense, were the senses were flooded with too much. However, director Bay suggests that the anticipation for the next movie is rightfully so especially because he wants to maintain the same plot that had originally began in the fourth movie. So we can expect the transformers to hold their own as Optimus goes into exile, or will he return to lead the auto-bots against another foe? But it seems that a 2016 release date is off the table. Bonaventura clearly stated that they hardly think clearly before the dust of the previous movie has settled.
