Thank you so much @recordingacademy - we're so honored to have won a GRAMMY for Best Contemporary Christian Music Album for Old Church Basement with our family @maverickcitymusic."
They also received two additional nominations going into the awards: Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song for "Jireh" and Best Gospel Song/Performance for "Wait On You." Both songs are featured on Old Church Basement.
Upon receiving their award, Chris Brown of Elevation Worship - joined by both Elevation Worship and Maverick City Worship - shared from the stage, "I will never forget that little basement where this beautifully wild season between our two groups began.
