Andrew Ripp Enters the Top 10 with "Jericho"

Andrew Ripp's brand new single "Jericho" has entered Billboard's Hot Christian Songs chart at #7. On Christian Airplay, "Jericho," which Ripp co-authored, bumps 7-6, up 2% to 7.8 million in audience. It also gained by 18% to 1.1 million U.S. streams and 12% to 1,000 sold in the tracking week.
Ripp through with his co-writing credit on Zach Williams' "Rescue Story," which reached No. 2 on Christian Airplay and No. 5 on Hot Christian Songs last year. He has also performed on TV shows including ABC's Bachelor in Paradise and Entertainment Tonight and his songs have been featured on American Idol, House of Lies, One Tree Hill, Live to Dance and Vampire Diaries.
"The story of Jericho has always been super inspiring to me, which is why I wanted to turn it into a song. The part that really draws me in is when God says to Joshua, "See I have given you the city." It wasn't the marching around the walls of Jericho that made them fall, it was the moment Joshua BELIEVED God over his circumstance that the city became his. Marching was just an exercise in faith and obedience. I have found this to be true over many fears that try to steal my freedom. "All of my fears like Jericho walls have gotta come down!" All I need to do is believe what God says over my circumstance and then obey His word."
