Dave Bilbrough Releases New Album 'Hidden Kingdom'
The long awaited new album from Dave Bilbrough, Hidden Kingdom, is out now! Available from all download and streaming sites, physical CDs can also be purchased at davebilbrough.com.
Says Dave: "The new song of worship can't be defined by a 'genre' or fossilised in a form. Throughout the years, as I've sought to be true to my calling as a Psalmist/Troubadour, I've tried to follow that principle, clothing as best as I can each melody and album in suitable and fitting attire.
This latest album, Hidden Kingdom, introduces a choral element into my acoustic roots.
It was a spectacular experience to be singing with a chamber choir. There is a power and a resonance created through the beauty of human voices singing together in harmony that is quite unique.
I'm very thankful to Noel Tredinnick and the London Signature Choir as well as the hugely talented Lou Fellingham who deftly contributed their skills and giftings to this recording.
My passion is to see wider and innovative expressions of creativity rising from the church. In an effort to replicate what others are doing around the world we so often fence a perimeter and limit the scope and variety of emotions that music is capable of producing.
I hope this album will provoke others to re-imagine new sounds and possibilities. Along with a distinct musical identity, the title and theme of "Hidden Kingdom" is one of recognising the bigger spiritual dimension that we in our day to day lives are apt to overlook."
In time the choir arrangements will be available to download for free for any church choir to take up and use in their own situation.
Presenting Dave solo and at times augmented by choir Hidden Kingdom is a brave, authentic collection of worship songs to be sung and heard around the world.
