Darlene Zschech Traces the "The Golden Thread" of God's Presence
The Golden Thread: Experiencing God's Presence in Every Season of Life, the highly anticipated new title from acclaimed worship leader, songwriter, pastor and author Darlene Zschech, is now available from Thomas Nelson's Emanate Books, a division of HarperCollins Christian Publishing. With a foreword by New York Times bestselling author Joyce Meyer, The Golden Thread chronicles Zschech's 2013 cancer battle and how maintaining a posture of worship before the Lord brought her peace in the midst of the storm.
The book also explores other life-altering events for Zschech, including the journey to plant Hope Unlimited Church (HopeUC) with her husband Mark in New South Wales, Australia. Whether through a health crisis or her family's relocation to a new city, Zschech demonstrates a willingness to follow the Holy Spirit as He divinely connects each of her life's circumstances.
"My hope and prayer is that this book will help bring a calm to your storm, hope to your own doubts, and love to your own fears, because there is not one of us who is immune to seasons that challenge us and stretch us beyond what we feel we can bear," Zschech shares in the book's introduction. "But neither is there one of us who is exempt from the love of God that flows toward us, no matter what opposition we are facing, no matter what season of life we find ourselves in. It is true that there are some things about God and how He is at work in the world and in us that we will never really understand until we have come to the end of ourselves. But the greatest thing we all need to remember about our God is that He is good."
"May you be encouraged as you read The Golden Thread, and may the sweet Holy Spirit nudge you along the way to help you understand the love and grace He has for you in the season you are walking in right now," she adds.
In addition to The Golden Thread, Zschech's latest Integrity Music recording, The Table: A Christmas Worship Gathering, is now available wherever Christian music is sold. A warm collection of Christmas classics and original songs featuring HopeUC, the project encourages listeners to "build longer tables and lower walls," welcoming all to Jesus.
A pioneer of the modern worship movement, Australia's Darlene Zschech composed the groundbreaking 1993 anthem "Shout To The Lord." More than two decades later, the song is still sung by millions of churchgoers around the world each week. A multi-Dove Award-nominee and recipient of the Gospel Music Association's International Award for her impact on the global church, Zschech has penned more than 100 songs, including "Victor's Crown," "In Jesus' Name," "Worthy Is The Lamb" and "At The Cross." Among her acclaimed full-length recordings are 2003's Kiss of Heaven, 2005's Change Your World and 2011's Simply Darlene, and she is the author of five books, including Extravagant Worship (2004), The Art of Mentoring (2011) and Revealing Jesus: A 365-Day Devotional (2013).
