Show Hope Receives Award from Fourth Annual Business With Purpose Awards Luncheon And Integrity Forum
The Fourth Annual Business with Purpose Awards Luncheon and Integrity Forum was held last week and recognized Show HopeTM. These awards are presented each year to companies and their leaders distinguishing themselves as having created cultures committed to high integrity and community service, to encouraging their employees to achieve a higher social mission, and to achieving the highest level of profitability and financial success. Show Hope was awarded the Business with Purpose Awards in the Not For Profit Organization category.
Show Hope's Executive Director, Scott Hasenbalg shared this about the award, "The orphans that we ultimately serve deserve to be pursued with excellence that flows out of our board, our staff and our partners. We are thrilled to be awarded by the Business Department at Lipscomb University and are humbled to be recognized in this way."
The Business with Purpose Awards Luncheon was held at Lipscomb University on June 4, 2014 and sponsored by the Dean Institute for Corporate Governance and Intergrity in partnership with the Center for the Public Trust.
Beginning in 2012, the Red Bus Project was created by Show Hope to help mobilize college students to care for orphans while multiplying the impact they can have on the orphan crisis. By engaging the next generation of passionate leaders in adoption and orphan care, Show Hope wants to encourage these students to join them in restoring the hope of a family to orphans in distress.
Show HopeTM had another successful 2014 tour of the Red Bus Project. Hitting colleges throughout the midwest and southern regions, the Red Bus Project Spring 2014 Tour ran from March 18 in east Tennessee and April 30 in Indiana.
When Show Hope opened its doors in 2003 they recognized the importance of an intergenerational movement. With their official Student Initiatives program kicking off in 2010, two student-based programs have successfully launched: The Movement Club for high school students and its college program, the Red Bus Project. In just three years, more than 15,000 students have been empowered to care for orphans through these two programs.
