"'Just Say Jesus' reminds us that the name of Jesus is just as life giving, just as redeeming, and brings just as much healing to the sick and lost today than it ever has," shares frontman Mikey Howard. "I think that's what makes the song so special. When people hear it I think they are reclaiming the power of Jesus over their lives and things change when people do that. We are grateful to play a small part in all of this. It's been amazing to hear and read the stories that come to us everyday on how this song has impacted lives. We're grateful and humbled for the way Christian radio has embraced this song and helped to take it to a place we could've never imagined."
For 7eventh Time Down, every song is an opportunity for ministry and this single is a perfect example of that. Here are a few messages the band has received:
"Since December 19th, my family and I are going through the most challenging, scary thing we have ever had to deal with...my faith has been tested. I have never felt so devastated and so alone. One day, I heard this song and I broke down in to tears and felt a whole new sense of hope and more importantly FAITH. Music cleanses the soul and this song was just the healing I needed! There have been several nights I have woken up crying and THIS song is in my head. I have no doubt that God is speaking to me LOUDLY through your music. So... THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!"
"I just wanted to tell you guys your song came on K-LOVE moments after I found out that my wife had miscarried for the 2nd time in a year. Thank you for reminding me that God is right there with me and all I need to do is say His name. Love you guys. Thank you!
"I just wanted to say you guys are amazing! I'm 19 years old and recently found out I'm pregnant and yes it's a sin and have really been struggling, but have been going to God and He has forgiven me, but your song makes me cry every time I listen to it. It is so powerful! So I want to thank you guys for your amazing songs. They have helped me out a lot!"
7eventh Time Down are currently on their first headlining "Just Say Jesus" tour that is being promoted solely by Christian radio stations. The band is also partnering with Food for the Hungry on this tour. Following their headlining tour, 7eventh Time Down will be touring with the Newsboys on both their upcoming spring and fall runs of their "We Believe" tours.
The Kentucky-based based band released their 2011 debut album, Alive in You, on BEC Recordings. 7eventh Time Down is composed of Mikey Howard (vocals), Ciff Williams (bass), Eric Van Zant (guitar) and Austin Miller (drums).
