'Modern Family' Season 6 Gets Extended By Two Episodes From ABC Along with Wednesday Night Line-Up 'The Middle', 'The Goldbergs' and 'Black-ish'
"Modern Family" Season 6 is currently airing on Wednesday nights on ABC and they have announced that the season will be extended by two episodes. Also, ABC has extended fellow Wednesday night shows "The Goldbergs", "The Middle" and "Black-ish". They have found a great formula for their comedy line-up on Wednesday nights and want to keep it going just a bit longer.
ABC has also announced that "Grey's Anatomy" is adding two episodes and "Castle" is adding another episode as well.
The comedy series "Modern Family" debuted on ABC in September 2009 and has become one of the best comedies on television and up for Emmy nominations on a yearly basis. The show has won the Emmy Award for Outstanding Comedy Series in each of the past four years and the Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series three times so far as well, twice for Eric Stonestreet and once for Ty Burrell, as well as the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series twice for Julie Bowen. It also won the Golden Globe Award for Best Television Series - Musical or Comedy.
"Modern Family" is presented in "mockumentary" style, the fictional characters frequently talk directly into the camera. The program is the story of Jay Pritchett, his second wife, his stepson, and their infant son; and his two adult children and their families in suburban Los Angeles. Christopher Lloyd and Steven Levitan conceived the series while sharing stories of their own "modern families".
